Our approach to Generative AI

Arcweave is focused on providing the world with tools that empower and enable creativity.

Generative AI is a new technology with a lot of promise, but one that has also caused a lot of uncertainty and concern, including anxiety surrounding the impact it may have on creative industries.

Arcweave is, and always has been, a platform for people to collaborate, communicate and create amazing stories and experiences. As such, our view is that AI is a tool to support, not replace, human creativity: We believe that it can be developed and used responsibly as an optional assistive technology that provides help and inspiration to creators, without replacing or undermining them.

The vision for any AI use inside Arcweave is to help people expand upon their natural creativity and allow them to realize more complex and sophisticated interactive experiences. This page lays out our approach to how we develop and use the generative AI models behind our tools. Our aim is to be clear about our dos and don’ts, to differentiate our approach from that of the broader industry and to provide an example that can hopefully pave the way for the industry to become a more responsible place.

Our commitments

We do not use our users' data to train any AI solution inside Arcweave

We do not use any user data to train any of our AI solutions. We also explicitly prohibit third parties from training on user content hosted on our servers.

We do not share any user content data with any external AI provider

User prompts (inputs) and completions (outputs):

• are NOT available to other customers or users
• are NOT available to external vendors such as OpenAI or Anthropic
• are NOT used to improve or train our foundation models
• are NOT used to improve any sub-processor products or services

We make sure users can easily turn any AI feature on or off

While we support and develop generative AI features as part of our offering, there is no obligation for our users to use them. At any point, users can instantly turn AI features on or off for any workspace and all its projects. Our users' peace of mind and comfort are of paramount importance to us, and we stand committed to providing an experience that aligns with their preferences.

Vision for the future

It's important to note that generative AI is still in its early stages and evolving every day. At Arcweave, we're constantly educating ourselves to better follow the ethical and societal implications of this technology. As more models become available, our aim is to gradually implement them so that our users have the freedom to choose what technology best suits their requirements while also addressing their ethical and environmental concerns. At the same time, we want to make sure we can keep providing a tool that is competitive and facilitates inspiration and productivity.

We want our users to harness the benefits of this technology within an environment that not only respects their data and privacy but also provides them with the flexibility to opt out whenever they deem fit.
